Lpm, blue clouds and cheap festivals. oh, and a drunk Lucz

So, we performed Blue Clouds [our A/V project with InFlux] at the LPM festival here in Rome on friday. Crap. No soundcheck, Lucz' midi pedal fuckked up when starting, everything in a hurry... i mean, why the fuck do they organize a festival if then they treat you as shit? Next time we'll do this is going to be really smooth, December 22nd, Detour Cinema, organized by me. Wow.

Then on saturday we went there again to check Claudio Sinatti's performance [cool geometric visuals generated running Isadora.. here some more]. Lucz got totally drunk and THIS WAS FUNNY. Sorry i haven't got any pic of him talking shit.
Anyway, never again at the LPM, just a totally unprofessional organization, crap food and expensive drinks. Thank god for Sinatti's stuff (down here) even if at 4.00 AM.

Abbiamo fatto ascoltare e vedere 'BlueClouds' [il nostro progetto audio/video con gli Influx], all' Lpm, un festival tenutosi qui a Roma al Linux Club. Uno schifo. Senza soundcheck, la mia pedaliera midi che da come al solito problemi con max/msp e non c'è tempo di trovare una soluzione. Tutto di corsa. Ci domandiamo il perchè organizzare un festival con tante perfomances se poi non si cura la buona riuscita di ognuna.
Per fortuna riproporremo lo show al Detour, il 22 Dicembre, con tempo sufficiente per far funzionare tutto...

Sabato, il giorno successivo, siamo tornati per vedere Claudio Sinatti [visuals geometrici, creati con Isadora. Ho bevuto l'impossibile, non ricordo quasi nulla. Giovanni e gli Influx ancora ridono della mia performance alcoolica.
I video di Sinatti hanno parzialmente mitigato la delusione Lpm, che entra ufficialmente nella lista degli eventi a cui difficilmente parteciperemo per la seconda volta.

hmmm... well im gonna give the whole albun a listen anyway but you should be warned that eating people may lead to CJD and plastic usually has little or no nutritional value.

Aurgasm è uno di quei blog che vive di musica: piccole recensioni su musicisti\dischi, con mp3 correlati.
A differenza di molte altre situazioni simili, Paul Irish - il bostoniano che gestisce la faccenda - non abusa della cosa e si limita ad utilizzare appena due pezzi per ogni progetto. La cosa non mi sembra molto lontana dalla gestione radiofonica di un album eppure, la settimana scorsa, le autorità statunitensi di controllo sul copyright hanno cancellato interamente il suo archivio di mp3 online. La pena, in caso di nuove violazioni, è la seguente: reclusione[tramutata in una multa per ogni mp3].
Il buon Paul ha quindi deciso di utilizzare solo musica coperta da Creative Commons o di contattare l'artista sperando di ottenere un permesso per utilizzare i suoi pezzi.
Noi chiaramente abbiamo detto 'Faccia, faccia'.
